ABOUT US: A multi genre dance company divided into 7 groups based on age and level, yet all have the same focus. A positive and rewarding exploration of dance & performing artistry for blossoming young dancers who are looking to expand upon their knowledge, experience and passion for dance. Strong emphasis on student choreography, creativity, core dance technique, self discovery, performance, leadership skills & global community awareness.
Students are encouraged to use their art to positively impact the communities around them.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMPANY MEMBERS
Company students are offered opportunities to work with renowned guest choreographers, discover self choreography and workshops
Company students are offered additional opportunities to perform in local and off coast events
Many Youth Company members do also compete with the GDC Competition team, but competition is not mandatory for Company Members, it is only a option for those interested.

No previous experience necessary. Company placement is based on age & level of technique

REQUIREMENTS
Youth Company Levels 1 - 3
Students be enrolled in a minimum of 2 technique classes per week.
Students may choose from: Ballet, Modern, Contemporary & Acrobatics. Ballet is highly recommended
Youth Company Levels 4 - 5
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 3hrs of technique classes per week.
Students must take ballet and may choose from Modern, Contemporary, Acrobatics & Jazz for their other required classes.
Youth Company Levels 6 - 7
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 5hrs of technique classes per week.
Students must take ballet and may choose from Modern, Contemporary, Acrobatics & Jazz for their other required classes.
