Please ensure dancers and families are prepared to perform ahead of schedule. All entries perform in scheduled order. Any out-of-order performances must be approved by the backstage manager. Dancers registered in the incorrect category will be adjudicated only if the
category has already performed. Any movement prior to performance is at the discretion of the backstage manager.
QUICK CHANGES:
We understand that quick changes may be scheduled. Please notify our backstage manager ahead of time. Due to tabulation purposes,
routines in the same category cannot be moved in the program. Our team will hold your routine until the dancers are ready to perform.
RE-DANCES:
Re-dances may only be done for technical issues and at the adjudicator’s discretion. If a dancer does not complete their routine, adjudicators will score & judge based on what they saw.
APPROPRIATE CONTENT:
Any entry displaying suggestive and/or inappropriate content, regardless of category, will receive a 3-mark deduction or may be disqualified.
BACKSTAGE:
We encourage positive backstage support and sportsmanship. The One Dance Experience is a respectful, inclusive environment. Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. Parents are not permitted backstage or in changeroom areas due to limited capacity. Soliciting dancers or teachers from other studios is strictly prohibited at The One Dance Experience.
CHANGE ROOMS:
Change Rooms will be assigned in the UFV portion of the venue.
MARLEY FLOOR:
There will be a Marley floor at each event. Please only non- marking shoes allowed. Studios must ensure that all props will not cause damage to the floor. All studios agree to be responsible for any damages billed as a result of footwear and props. No additional spacing markings are permitted. Only the marks and stage spikes provided by The One are acceptable.
AWARDS & RECOGNITION
AWARDS:
We are pleased to offer over $10,000 in prizes and scholarships per event. Award sessions will be held approximately every 2-3 hours. Overall awards will be awarded after our Showdown. All placings are final. There will be no appeals in marking as it is subjective to each adjudicator. All awards, scholarships and qualifications may be adjusted based on amount of entries per event.
THE ONE SHOWDOWN:
The ONE Showdown closes the event with a special encore performance featuring select group routines invited back on stage.
Throughout the event, our adjudicators select routines based on entertainment value, performance quality, and stage presence. Selection is judge’s choice only and is not score-based. Routines do not need to place first to be invited.

• Studios with 5–9 Elevate, Core, or Elite group entries: 1 group may be invited
• Studios with fewer than 5 eligible group entries may be considered as wild card selections
• Rising Star groups are not eligible.
